Love their glass noodles. Prefer them with tofu. Shrimp is good too, but they charge extra. Little expensive or I woulda gave them 5 stars. The vibe is great though. Really beautiful decorations from Thailand. Service is always with a smile.

Was in the area late and thankfully this place was still open for dinner - great spacious interior that is creatively decorated, fast service, and delicious food. My go-to Thai dish is always the drunken noodle, and they delivered. Perfect amount of spice, plenty of chicken and vegetables, and thick flat noodles. Will be back for sure!

Im just gonna start this off with letting you know that Chao Krung is the TRUTH! I discovered the restaurant on a nightly walk, looked it up and was immediately intrigued. I decided to check out HH the same week. There's 1 hour meter parking until 8PM. It's located right in the heart of Fairfax which is always busy if you need to account for travel time. We popped in for HH which is 430-6PM. Upon waking in you'll instantly feel the chill vibes of the place as you hear music lightly playing. There is bar seating and a good sized dining room. It's clean, modern and is cutely decorated. I especially loved the photo wall, it almost gives you a homey feeling. The staff is friendly and notably attentive. The food immaculate! We stuck to the HH menu and ordered the green beans, veggie egg rolls, dumplings, wings and fried tofu. Everything was great. The tofu, egg rolls and wings were so crispy and had the best flavors. The green beans were also delicious. The bits of charred shrimp and cabbage were little bursts of heaven in your mouth. With $7 craft beer, you can't beat it! Make sure you keep an eye on your meter, I got a ticket 1 minute after my meter expired! That aside, I will definitely be back for more HH's, the lunch specials and dinner. This place is a gem!

I had my food delivered so I can't say anything about the service or the ambiance BUT the hype is real about the food! I am a pad Thai connoisseur and this is probably one of the best pad Thai dishes I've had in LA. Soooo flavorful and complex! I got the two for the price of one deal and it was the perfect amount! Well... I always want more pad Thai but perhaps my waistline does not. We also tried the Panang curry, the sausages, and the dim sum! All were VERY flavorful and well balanced. Will definitely either go in person or order again.

It's kind of fun to go back and read old reviews and seeing how a place has evolved over time. The flavors are there and everything is delectable. Got the laap duck. I want to say they fried the duck skin to give a crispy texture along with citrusy marinated mix. Served with lettuce and cabbage to eat with. A bit pricey for the amount given though. Pad Gra Pow pork belly. Delicious, savory and a tinge of heat. Panang curry with beef. The curry base was sooo good but the beef was a bit tough. Pad see ew noodle with beef. Ooo usually I don't really go crazy about this type of noodles but it was pretty dang good and the noodles didn't clump all over. They have happy hour from 3-6 but really they only have beer, some wines and sangria. You can adjust the heat and medium was good for everyone one. You can always add more chilies and red pepper.

Food was excellent! Service was terrific. Toi was attentive and courteous. The space was clean and the decor and character was quaint with appropriate interior design for a Thai eatery. Will definitely return and encourage you to go and try it yourself!

Chao Krung Thai has that bomb @$$ food. The ambiance is a bit more upscale and service is fabulous. Definitely look at the woodwork around the bar - oh my goooodness! What a gorgeous work of art. Most important though, the eats. They hit. All the portions were well sized and my friend & I enjoyed all the dishes. Kai Jiew over rice was so tasty, curry had great flavor and their crispy pork was perfectly done in our pad thai. No hate on being a basic & getting pad thai, it's freaking delicious here. On top of being classy and cute, Chao Krung doesn't break the bank. They've been open since 1976. That is MIND BLOWING if you sit and think about it. There's a reason. So go and find out already~! Loved everything about dining in there and can't wait to go back to try more!

While the prices at this Thai restaurant may lean slightly towards the expensive side, the wide range of unique menu options more than makes up for it. I was pleasantly surprised to find a variety of dishes that I hadn't come across in other Thai establishments. The pork belly dish stood out as a highlight, delivering a delicious combination of tender meat and flavorful seasonings. However, it seemed that my friends always ended up with even more delectable meals than mine, which turned into a running joke among us. One dish that truly impressed me was the squid. It had a distinctive flavor profile and offered a unique twist on traditional Thai cuisine. The flavors were bold, and every bite was a delightful experience for my taste buds. Parking, unfortunately, proved to be a challenge. Finding a suitable spot required constant monitoring and frequent trips to renew my limited parking hours. It was a bit of a hassle, but the flavors and variety of dishes made up for the inconvenience. To sum it up, while the prices may be slightly higher, this Thai restaurant boasts a selection of dishes that set it apart from the rest. The pork belly and squid dishes were particularly noteworthy. Just be prepared for the parking difficulties and consider renewing your limited parking spot to avoid any inconvenience.
